has Dispatches always been so crap? The last one I watched on the job centre seemed insistent on clutching-at-straws-to-get-desired-outcome too.
Won't be watching again. Bring back proper consumer investigation programmes!
What an absolute waste of half an hour: Prattling on about chocolate spread while ignoring other issues like zero-hour contracts for staff or workfare. Dispatches has become really poor since moving to the half-hour format, a bit like how Panorama dumbed down when it moved from Sunday nights to Monday primetime:rolleyes:

£20 makeup for a £1!!!!!
I suppose this must be a difficult thing about this business model. How can they maintain their £1 price with inflation.
The warburton bread I tend to buy every week is usually £1.35, yet this documentary insists on giving it a price of £1.
The presenter seems incredibly bias.
They mentioned the loaf was on offer. Not comparable in my opinion really, but there you go.
The Nutella which they didn't say was on offer as far as I'm aware is actually £1.29 from Tesco too...

Too true, it'll cost them every few years to change to £2 pound land and then £3 pound land.
Lol, yeah, it looks interesting. Something tells me that it won't taste very nice though!
I think it said the prices where from July.
They also do stomach pumps at only £1 as well! You'll be needing one!
they probably hunted for one of those cupcakes for days, they are by far the worst thing poundland sell, they are vile.
Won't be watching again. Bring back proper consumer investigation programmes!
Only if your child also has a blowlamp!
bet they sell out tomorrow though
prime time advertising! even if it is dispatches!
The presenter keeps comparing the Asda offer items against poundland items.
What he should be doing is getting a price average and comparing those to poundland.
Guess this show explains why, but they could have just moved them off shop floor.
If you be clever about what you buy, you won't actually be ripped off by poundland.
