Help With Apple Ipad Set Up

I want to buy a apple ipad 2 and would like advice regarding its capabilities as follows
1 will it work wirelessly with a BT HUB 3
2 can it connect with a sony laptop
3 can anything you download b deleted later
and finally is it easy to set up for a novice like me straight out of the box.

    No printed manual - it's all online. I think you could get by without ever reading though, myself.
