    Yep :(

Such an iconic soap character though. Its a shame she seems to have been forgotten.

She was great. Didn't they explain her death in RL by saying she had won the lottery and moved abroad.

yeah she was the cleaner for teh Farnhams (Max and Susannah) the last mention of her was Susannah telling Max she had met someone and been whisked away and the camera showed a photo of her on the window lwdge in the living room of Number 7

I loved her. Her relationship with the Farnhams was the best. I loved the way she was just so nosey. There hasn't been a character like her since. I suppose maybe Norris but he isn't on Julia's level. She was a soap great.

I miss Brookie. Wish it could be repeated.

Yes - I loved the way she used to pronounce Max and Susannah's name Farnham

I also remember her malapropisms - like her advice not to go on holiday abroad as a single woman as the waiters will try to "reduce" you.

Her run-ins with Jimmy Corkhill were great too - "once a Corrrrkhilll, always a Corrrrkhillllllllllll

I really miss Brookside and was angry it was axed in 2003.

There were certainly some great characters in it but I think they just ran out of ideas for stories in the end.

The Nat and Georgia incest story was the final nail in the coffin.

Yeah, a great blast from the past this, Julia was fantastic in Brookie - I loved her, she was such a character.

Like the above poster so accurately says, that's exactly how I remember her too, pronouncing Farnham as Farn-ham.

Julia was a classic Brookside character. She was one of my favourites. Played to perfection by Gladys Ambrose. Loved her.

I quite liked that storyline, not because I'm a sicko, but it was a refreshing subject that soaps hadn't touched upon until then.

I remember like Corrie's Blanche she used to go along to the public gallery in court for a day out, armed with her favourite mint humbugs. Great legendary character.
