While Comic Relief and Children In Need are worthy causes, the quality of the entertainment during these telethons leaves a lot to be desired. Will I watch? If I can be convinced it is going to more than style and hype over substance.

Sounds like it will be good with this cast
Kim Cattrall, Joanna Lumley, Jennifer Saunders, Victoria Wood, Harry Enfield, Tim Vine, Dale Winton, and Simon Callow

If it's anything like the Chris Moyles marathon the past few days, it should be great.

Really looking forward tonight, they always put on a great show for one night every two years.

A few things I want to see; the Doctor Who mini ep, Downton Abbey spoof, and a few musical performances. So I'll be watching. :)

Don't know if I can watch....Jennifer Saunders ruined Silent Witness for me...I couldn't take Amanda Burton seriously afterwards!

Shall record the whole lot and pick my way through tomorrow..:)

Rats, I was thinking a starting a thread on this  - oh well... :o

I've just looked at the tv guide on Freeview and the times have changed:

    Comic Relief BBC1 7:00pm - 10:00pm (not 7:00pm - 10:35pm as originally advertised)

    Comic Relief BBC2 10:00pm - 10:35pm (not 10:30pm - 11:05pm as originally advertised)

Comic Relief returns from the News at 10:35pm and finishes at 1:00pm on BBC1.

Just thought I'd give you all a heads up on the changed times.

I'll give a quid for every person who can find and slap Jeremy Kyle tonight.

I'll be watching and actually looking forward to chatting with people on here while watching, a new experience for me. I do find these things a bit dull but some parts are good.

I know it's a great cause but i've always thought a bit irked by the fact that people much much much richer than me are asking for my money 'Look, we'll make a silly panel show!', why don't they just give their money instead, the charity would do better.

Only fair to warn newcomers that these threads quickly turn into an excuse to rip the piss. And jolly amusing they are too!

    ........

Lucky for Comic Relief that there’s been no big fund-drive for Japan (which is a bit odd) otherwise they’d be reduced to begging for the small change found down the back of our sofas.

    :D

The late shift is just highlights of the night though according to the listings. I thought that would be the time for some adult comedy.
