Yeah it was a strange day for me. I had Britney and Linux on the brain What a combination! I was trying to faff around with Linux on my old laptop though.
Have you been imagining Britney working on a Linux computer naked?
I tried to find a newspaper report or a death certificate for a friend's relative who died as a Railroad Guard in New York in the 1930s. No joy as of yet.

I did a similar favour yesterday for a great-aunt, who's appointed herself as our family genealogist. She wanted to know where 'Bridge Street, Homerton' was. Since it's not listed in the current London street map, we suspect it had a name change, but I haven't had luck in finding its new name.

We did find mentions of 'Bridge Street', but none offered the new name. However, a DS poster was kind enough to let me know that Bridge Street became Ponsford Street in 1938. Yay! Thanks.
