  She has wormed her way into Kyle's life and his grandmother - and legal guardian - has no idea that Amy is Kyle's birth mother, so it's not access so much as babysitting under false pretenses.

  Actually I do find it a little irresponsible for ED to 'push' this storyline - soaps are normally so good on details like this.

  I wouldn't have thought that she would have any rights to Kyle at all.
  I am amazed that Emmerdale have put him in his adopted home so near to the biological mother (I know that he is with his Grandma now, but when Eric saw the death notification of Kyle's adoptive Mum and Dad I am taking that the announcement was in the Hotten Courier?).

  Eastenders did an identical storyline with Sonia & Martin's baby (can't recall her name - Chloe???)
  
  Adopted parents killed so Sonia wormed her way in and eventually they kept the kid I think.
