I really liked it. With so many people affected by the week's events, it wouldn't have felt right to just end on one particular scene.

I thought the ending was fitting, and superb.
Haven't watched the show in over a year (although I keep up to date with storylines in the magazines :D) but have to say I'll definitely be starting to watch again.

I thought it was brilliant. 50 years is special enough for a one off.

I very much enjoyed the montage. A suitable way to end a big week.

I thought it was absolutely the right way to end the week. So many lives in ruin...so many stories just beginning...they couldnt have just ended on one persons story.

Well Done Corrie . .....absolutely fantastic weeks viewing - the best ever! !

    Thanks to everyone involved.

It appears the OP is alone. It seems most people thought it was great and worked well :)

I love when Corrie uses incidental music because they use it so sparingly, unlike bloody Hollyoaks. Felt it really fit the tone of the week and not a song choice that immediately springs to me. Love U2 and an amazing song. I remember when they used Massive Attack's Teardrop at the end of the ep where Sarah Platt was kidnapped by the internet paedo Gary Adams back in 2001- very effective.

I liked it. It's what this week needed - a final look at everyone rather than just ending with one scene.

In your opinion. I found it touching and sensitively done; finally a little stillness, to temper a harrowing week.

I thought it was a nice touch for the end of a weeks excellent episodes. Corrie don't normally do that, so it was nice to have a different ending.
Hollyoaks, Neighbours, Home & Away... even Emmerdale do this sort of thing quite often - what's the problem?
