Fish shop near me which is near the County Road Fly Over was called The County Road Fry Over. Which I thought was quite witty.

Sadly within a few months of opening it was under new management and they changed the name. Which was a shame.

There was a pizza takeaway in Pisa, Italy, called Pizza dei Miracoli (pizza of miracles), a short walk from the Piazza dei Miracoli, where the leaning tower is located. (Well, it was funnier in Italian...)

Near me once was a place called Hairport. Which was a hairdressers. Not far from an airport....

When I was contracting in I.T. many moons ago, I was given a generic "off the shelf" company name called "Tempest I.T.".

I thought it would be utterly hilarious to change it to "Dodgy Swedish Videos Ltd". So i did. The call to companies house was rather memorable :)

I've been googling my old company name and it's fascinating to find what stuff is out there about it - and me :)

This is from the Daily Telegraph of all people !
Further down the notices my eye was drawn to another winding-up order, this one for Dodgy Swedish Videos Ltd. Just not dodgy enough, would be my guess.

    Then there's this ..

God only knows what else is out there !

There a baguette shop around the corner from me called "Baguette-me-not", a barbers called "Cut Above", a chippy called "Good Fryday" and a fire-surround shop called "Hearth of the Matter".

There's a fire/fire-surround shop near me that doesn't have a pun for a name, but rather strangely has a giant sign with a picture of Yul Brynner on it above the door. The sign reads "Yul save plenty".
