What do you want from a Nexus 7 successor?

I've seen a few mentions of a Nexus 7 successor on the interweb recently and it has got me thinking about how the current N7 could be improved.
One thing I would like to see is an HDMI output, the lack thereof didn't bother me at the time of buying but as I no longer have my PS3 for watching Netflix, it is something that would benefit me now and would certainly be a lot more practical than connecting the laptop to the TV.
Secondly I would like to see less fiddly power and volume buttons that are not placed next to each other. It is quite annoying when I go to adjust the volume and I accidentally press the power button instead. Also it took me a while just to get the hang of being able to power the device on without several attempts, maybe that was just me though.
An SD card slot would be nice but I fear that's wishful thinking.
A screen that is enlarged into the bezel would be nice too, as long as the overall size of the device is kept roughly the same.
What other possible improvements can you think of? Would they make you buy a new N7?

-Higher res screen to match the Nexus 10 or near
-Rear facing camera
-Less bezel
-Perhaps increase the screen size to 7.7"
-Longer battery life, though I think it's pretty good at present
Other than that it's pretty much an amazing device for the price.
Yep, bezel is a bit big and could be slimmed down. Perhaps a little lighter too. Wireless charging maybe? Otherwise no complaints here; I suspect if KLP brings lots of new features it will feel like a new device anyway.
Would be nice if it was a bit easier to transfer photos from my SLR to the nexus 7, but I think realistically that's something that will be solved with a new SLR with wifi rather than an N7 replacement.
There's free android apps from Samsung and Nikon to do that with therir wi-fi cameras.
My wants:
SDcard slot
Longer battery (or replaceable battery)
Yep but most SLRs aren't wifi. (at least not without expensive accessories). Getting even a card reader working on a Nexus 7 is a bit of a faff, that I would prefer to be simpler.
It really doesn't. Taking photos on tablets is pretty silly, especially when they're almost always lower quality than ones on phones.
Not really.
I wouldn't consider a Nexus 7 until it has a camera.
Don't care about HDMI output or a camera. Wireless charging would be nice but I'm not sure if the current technology used in the Nexus 4 can deliver enough voltage.
No matter how good the 2nd generation Nexus 7 is I can't see there being anything to justify an upgrade. I think I'll wait for the 3rd generation one.
-reasonable rear camera
-better battery
-same foot print, possibly slightly bigger screen.
i also have no interest in hdmi
I see the need for a front camera for video chat/calls, but holding up a tablet for photos isn't practical and it's often very irritating to other people at things like sports and concerts as the tablet can block your view.
I've only had mine for a week and was quite impressed how easy it was to get things on to the Nexus 7 from a SD Card reader / USB Stick / USB HDD using a cheap OTG cable and the Nexus media import app. (IMO much easier than an Ipad).
Also agree with the volume/power buttons being moved away from each other.
Could do with an SD slot.
Whilst battery life is already impressive, longer life is always welcome.
Induction charging.
Make it waterproof (just in case )
Other than that I can't think of any other features I'd like.
Rear camera is pointless, especially when mobile phones are ubiquitous and have better cameras as well as being easier to use. It would be a useless feature that only a tiny minority would use.
how would you hold a tablet that size that had screen to the edge?
Pretty much the same as I hold it now.
just needs a few clever algorithms to tell the difference between holding it and interacting with the screen. Don't think its anything too tricky.
maybe, maybe not. but as far as i know it's never been done?
