Mum said its because she met the virgin Mary but I think there's more to it then that. Was her body frozen?

The same reason most other bodies haven't not decomposed...?

No I don't think so. If the doctor's report is to believed something very singular occurred here. There are cases of bodies not decomposing in normal timeframes - quite a few I think - but nothing like this length of time.

    And that is?
    The cycle of life...

As far as St Bernie goes, they keep digging her up and re-burying her so much that I believe she's getting a bit tatty these days. She's not quite so incorrupt as once she was.

From what I've just read she has decomposed but copies of her hands and face were made when she died and they are now on her face and hands. Have you never seen House of wax with Paris Hilton? It's a true story.

No -I saw it with the Mrs, the 1953 version.

Edit - the 1953 version.of the movie - not the Mrs.

She has had plastic surgery during one of her exhumations.

    So not entirely incorrupt.

Classic.Vincent Price. It was one of the first 3D movies.

    http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0045888/

I don;t know whether or not the 3D version is available now though.

It's a miracle of Christ; particularly appropriate given today we celebrate the birth of the baby Jesus.

    Unlikely.
Also she was buried in a Lead Coffin.

Too much idolatry in the RC church.

She has decomposed, the hands and face are made of wax. I'd find a link but I'm on my phone and that sort of tech-ability is beyond me.

A wax exterior on a mummified body. Just another fake miracle to fool the weak-minded.

Is it a trick thread title? So the actual question is "why has the body decomposed?"?
