500g marzipan

Does anyone know if a 500g pack of ready made marzipan would cover 2 x 9inch cakes?

I don't need to cover the bottom, just the tops and sides.

I'm trying to keep costs down and would like to use one pack for both, even if the covering is thin.

500g of marzipan is quite small you could easily fit one in your pocket at the self service till

According to the guides I've seen, 500g is already going to have to be rolled to within an inch of its life to cover a 9" cake, there is no way it will do for two. It's probably the wrong time of the year to see marzipan on offer, but perhaps you could save money by buying in a larger quantity?

Oh dear, thanks for the advice, will just have to buy another then! Never used one before, so was not sure how far it would stretch.

1200g rolled to 5mm would do it.
