I saw an episode of the German version of Pointless (Null gewinnt) and Kyrgyzstan won the jackpot there as well.

They were a very impressive team, it was very generous of them to give their winnings to charity. Glad they won. Poor Kyrgyzstan, always a pointless answer, it's a lovely country

I said Seychelles, but wasn't sure if it was 'the Seychelles' or not - but I thought it probably would count on the basis that most countries that have 'the' commonly added to their name aren't actually officially known by that name.

Anyone feel that, whilst not a fix per sé, the producers didn't exactly make it hard for that pair to go through? A question on French when the one's a translator, and then a final on countries - which, ignoring Dan's job, is the sort of thing anyone worth their stuff would have revised on before going on?

Good team and deserved winners anyway, but think they had it relatively easy. And wouldn't even have needed it I think.

I'm guessing the independent adjudicators wouldn't allow the question setters to know what contestants were going to be on which programme. Just the luck of the draw.
