Hey guys and girls, ladies and gentleman.

My sister recently gave birth to her second child, a baby girl.
I want to buy some sort of keepsake for her but not sure what to get. I have a couple of ideas and one of them is a luxury card with a personalised greeting inside. This is the greeting I've come up with and in my mind it sounds nice enough but I have a bit of doubt because I feel it might come across as chavvy and/or cringey. Please will you read it and let me know your honest opinion, be brutal! Give reasons though, don't just say it's crap and leave it at that. :)

This is the card/keepsake.

Inside of the card, this is the greeting I want to put;

Dear beautiful baby Lilah,

Who was born on Wednesday the 1st of May 2013 at 10:17am.

Weighing 8lb, 8oz.

Welcome to the world!

Lots of love forever, from Uncle Scott x

    Lovely keepsake, so thoughtful. Congrats "Uncle". Hope mum and baby are doing well.

    BTW Not chavvy at all.

    I think it is a lovely idea. If you go to the flyingpigpresents website there are keepsake boxes you can buy.
    The lady embroiders messages which she then puts on the top of the box lids.
    Or you could order one of her lovely cushions with all Lilah's details embroidered on?
    I do like your message Scotty, it's very loving and special. A second child often doesn't get half the presents and cards that the first gets.

    I like the idea that you get a frame then add photos of the parents and grandparents when young then add the pic of the new baby..I like the card idea..I still have a card that my dad bought my mum when I was born (I'm in my 40s now)
