G.O.L.D - Awful name, dire programming better when it was UK Gold.

SyFy - Another awful rebrand and poor selection of programmes.

Alibi - Watched it now and again when it was UKTV Drama but never tuned in since the rebrand.

Sky1 - Very rarely watch the channel now. Was better as Sky One.

Anybody else got any? :D

I hardly watch VIVA either, I was so disappointed by the rebrand, I had better expectations of it. Seems to be just like MTV One now except with a bit more music and a couple of chart countdowns, but it has a lot of reality shows. 4Music is alright, very dull and repetitive sometimes though. The Hits was better.

The UKTVG2 days were limited. Top Gear, Airport, A Question of Sport.

I think the channel has got better since then.

I used to watch that on it, I think that was the only reason I watched UKTVG2.

G.O.L.D. dire nowadays. Admittedly it is not all the channels fault as some of the other channels(Yesterday, BBC Four) take some of the old archive material. A shame as UK Gold in the 1990s was excellent!

Alibi. Again UK Drama was much better.

Looking at that list there are a hell of a lot of channels that have changed:

    BBC Three (was BBC Choice)
    BBC Four (was BBC Knowledge)
BBC News (was BBC News 24)
    Bio (was Biography Channel)
    Channel 5 (was Five ;))
    Comedy Central (was Paramount Comedy)
Comedy Central Extra (was Paramount Comedy 2)
Disney XD (was Jetix or if you wanna go further go back it started life as Fox Kids)
    Dave (was UKTV G2)
Eden or Blighty (was UKTV Horizons)
    Home (was UKTV Style)
ITV3 (although a new channel did replace Granada Plus)
ITV HD (replaced Men & Motors)
    Livingit (was Living 2)
    Sky 2 (was Sky Mix)
Sky Sports 4 (was Sky Sports Xtra)
Sky Sports News (was for a brief spell Sky Sports.com TV)
    Virgin 1 (was FTN)
    Yesterday (was UKTV History)

I'm sure there are a hell of a lot more rebrands and changes over the years like Sky One was known as Sky Channel in the 1980s.

I guess Virgin 1 would be the worst rebrand. Bring back FTN! Saying that Virgin 1 is only available 9am to 7pm here so I ain't missing much.

Ah yeah you just reminded me there also Disney XD is another rebranded channel i never watch.

Jetix was ok in its 1st year but the old Fox Kids shows were slowly taken off during a year after its branding.

I remember watch the launch of Fox Kids and Goosebumps was the first programme on that. I think it was something like 6 or 7am when it launched on that Saturday, lol! :D

Bting back the old franchise system, that kept them on their toes.

UK Gold's other issue is there have been little comedies worth repeating in the last 10years. The 90s had loads of sitcoms you'd want to see again....but I'd struggle to name a good 00's one.

No, Goosebumps wasn't the first programme. It launched on Saturday October 19th 1996, with this...

The first programme was Three Little Ghosts. It didn't stay on the schedule for very long.
