Good on them and their boys.

David must have the patience of a saint but it works for them so fair play and wish them every happiness

They already had a civil partnership but the law has now allowed them to be legally married :)

Silly question but does David become a Sir now? If a Sir married a lady after title given would she become a lady?

The same-sex marriage law came into effect in Scotland on 16th December.

There was talk of such partners being given courtesy titles, but I don't think it's happened yet!

That's it then, gay marriage is legal all over this nation. Equality for gay people has happened.

Really interesting question especially as this is all about equality you would have to ask why not a courtesy title for a same sex partner of a titled person.

Having said that I have no time for courtesy titles or people that use them ....why would you want to use a title that you haven't earned but if women get them why don't men or same sex partners

This is great but as they are clearly in love then it's no surprise they got married like all people in love.

But it really makes my skin crawl to be alive in a time were this was considered illegal by the law. Like it's not like it was ages away, it was recent past and still is in N.Ireland. Just makes me so sad for human beings to be so against something as two people in love but hopefully it's all over now. :D

I could laugh when some homophobes say that people having sex with some that's the same gender as them isn't natural. Anyone saying this should look at the animal kingdom. Horses, pigs, cows, sheep, dogs, cats, tigers, lions, deer, badgers, squirrels, foxes, rabbits, buffaloes, hippopotamus, rhinos etc. I bet some of all animal species on Earth will be attracted to the same gender as them.

    except for N. Ireland.

I don't count Northern Ireland as being in this nation. I mean Britain when I say nation. I include Northern Ireland when I say UK.

A man who's part of a 21 year relationship can't be written off as fluff.

Congratulations to the happy couple and long may they remain so. Yay for Marriage Equality!

"Britain" and "the UK" are the same thing

But I wish Northern Ireland wasn't part of it either.
