Surprising. Has a good season and his signings have been quite good.

A return to Newcastle maybe?

I don't think Newcastle would welcome him back.

West Ham would be crazy to just let him walk away as well.

I thought they weren't going to have contract discussions until the end of the season anyway? As regards some of the fans calling for him to be sacked, all I can say is 'be careful what you wish for'.

Probably the very same ones who want the next manager to have links to West Ham but be completely unsuitable and out of his depth.

Then they can enjoy champagne football in the championship.

I doubt Championship football will go down well in a nice new 60,000 stadium. :)

Give em something else to whinge about.

Honestly some of these fans need to get their heads out of the clouds.

I can't abide the old growler but nobody goes in there and does a better job than he's done this season.

You can do a great job and still be out a job as seen here: http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/31489212 Pulis aswell with Palace last year.

They've got very Olympian ideals though :)

That was down to Pulis, though, not the owners, which is the case at Brentford.

What Hayden says above in his post is spot on.

Some West Ham fans are incredibly fickle.

Delusions of grandeur on the part of West Ham.
