Supposed to some of the tastiest burgers in the country.. you may have a 1 hour wait on your hands on weekends and it's probably the most unique dining experience you will have.. http://almostfamousburgers.com/ the place is all very hush hush as well.. they don't advertise

If they are the tastiest burgers in the country then I'm surprised they are ranked as the 279th best restaurant in Manchester on Tripadvisor.
Trying waaaay too hard.
What kind of burger place says "no ketchup?"
Besides, few restaurants that include "famous" in their name turn out to be good.
^This.
I used to go every week back before it got really popular and as I refuse to queue I haven't been for a while.
One tip is to by-pass the queue and go to Lust, Liquor next door instead as they serve Almost Famous burgers but with hardly a wait for a table.
What's the deal with their "no ketchup?"
What's with the very mixed reviews then?
Exactly. I mean what real burger joint would also deny their customers ketchup?
You can always tell the hipsters in that place. They're the ones who have burnt their mouth because they ate their burgers before they were cool.
The only food that I eat while its borderline bubbling hot is pizza. For me, pizza, like with French fries, has to be hot, and crispy and a bit charred. Burgers, like any other meat dishes, should rest a bit until they are warm. Biting into a burger fresh off the grill is just asking for trouble. You'd have to be pretty foolish to do that.
Unless you really like queuing, or don't mind eating early, I wouldn't bother.
The burgers come with quite a bit of sauce on anyway so there isn't really a need for ketchup. They also have bottles of their own sauce which you can use, they're BBQ, spicy and teriyaki.
The point is a restaurant going out of their way to eliminate a key part of a hamburger is not what I would call a positive. Ketchup should always be available at burger joints.
Wow, finally we agree on something.:D
"We have chipotle ketchup. I don't think you'll be asked to leave if you bring your own, but people might give you weird looks. We do have loads of great sauces available for you to try."
Oh God, definitely a pretentious hipster joint.
Definitely file under 'trying too hard'.
