Yes. I haven't heard anything bad about them and they seem to get decent reviews. My dad nearly bought an ASUS laptop in 2012. It's one brand that would get the seal of approval in our house

But would your Dad have bought an Asus laptop with Vista on it??
probably a strange question as i know every laptop make seems to have its pros and cons.
i just get very panic stricken when making purchases. so want to be sure !
i will be attempting this year, to start a business so need something fast and reliable, but also on a (fairly) low budget.
i have an issue aswell with computers which make too much noise!
i saw this one in debenhams, but the reviews on the net seem very mixed.
i am close to buying this, with help from mother. i just want to make sure i get it right.
so anyone know of any laptops with a similar spec for cheaper?
or anyone heard anything else negative about this.

Nope, he wouldn't have bought any laptop with Vista on it unless it came with XP on the recovery disk In early 2009 he was looking at a Samsung laptop that had Vista preinstalled and XP on the recovery disk and he reckoned that would've suited him as he would have bought it, formatted the drive to get rid of the dreaded Vista and then upgraded it to XP til Windows 7 was released
