Bizarre - the Bush radio at work is still not receiving it after a full reset!
Can it get any of the other Digital 1 stations - e.g. Classic FM, Absolute Radio 80s, Smooth Radio 70s?
If not then it can't get the Digital 1 multiplex - if it can then a number of badly designed sets won't add some stations on Digital 1 as it now contains too many stations for them to store correctly.

Must be a badly designed set then as I have the 3 stations you mentioned  That will teach me to buy a cheaper unit!
I tuned in around 5:59 last night to listen to Nicky Horne as I really enjoyed him on Planet Rock. The song being played finished at around 6:02 and then another started with no Nicky? I thought the full schedule was up now? Still sounded like a test transmission?
Tuned in AT 6.20 This morning and heard Slipnot than another screammy metal song 20 minutes latter. Surely the more exstream ends of the rock music scene, would be better catered for on the Metal Hammer show in the evenings or even Weekend Afternoons. Crusher on GLR was popular with the audience and that went out around 4pm on Sundays.
Whilst I like the spirit of Team Rock, trying to cater for all tastes of Rock all the time, it is going to be difficult not to alienate sections of the audience. The Presentational approach by the team is however is spot on. The On Air Staff have the right attitude and are clearly into the music.

I remember Crusher. Where is he now? He used to be on Total Rock. Very entertaining in the middle of the afternoon. Probably broke a few Ofcom rules but he broke them brilliantly.

I agree with this. The presenters are clearly into the music they play. This contrasts with Kerrang and XFM, which have had presenters who used to play dance music on Galaxy presenting shows. How can you go from playing dance and urban music to being a fan of rock and particularly metal/emo?

It's Krusher not Crusher.
I still see him at gigs. He is a fan not just in the biz.

Because in the real world people can like more than one type of music - and even if they don't like the music they are playing a good broadcaster will adapt to present that music.
Nicky Horne has presented on Classic FM and Jazz FM, Moose was on Century and Rachel Houghton was at Silk FM.

But you can tell when a Jock has an enthusiasm for what he/she is doing or just going through the motions, All at Teamrock believe in what they're doing.

Good broadcasters will show enthusiasm whether they like the music played or not. I don't know if Nicky Horne is a big jazz, soul and blues fan but he always sounded good on Jazz FM. He sounded very knowledgeable on Classic FM - whereas he admitted, in Talk Radio's documentary on 25 years of Independent Radio, that his classical knowledge wasn't that good when he joined.
If jocks want to sound like they are going through the motions - more fool them.
Been listening to the metal hammer show for half hour so far ive actually heard heavier tracks on the breakfast show! Liked every song so far and i expected to not like this show at all as I class myself as a rock fan not a heavy metal fan. Of course by midnight it might be a lot heavier.

They had Drowning Pool amongst others and Sepultura - Roots Bloody Roots before 7am.
The banter seems to be getting better as well and it was only day 2.
Should be interesting when they get a phone installed.
Listened to the Breakfast Show for the first time this morning, and it does have it's "heavy" moments, but it's still a step up from the usual commercial stations.
Only annoying thing I have is that I've a DAB clock radio in the bedroom at the front of the house, and a mains portable DAB at the back of the house, and only the portable will pick up Team Rock at the moment. I've retuned the clock radio but it still won't find it. Might have to move it to the end of the bed or maybe by the door and see if that makes a difference.
At least when it goes off then I'll have to get up to turn it off rather than hit the snooze.

Hold down the Mode or Dab/Fm button and see if it give you a option for a factory reset, some sets have problems with to many stations held in the memory, a factory reset clears these out and allows new stations to be added.
Does anyone know what the weekends hold for Team Rock?
I've read about the Blues Rock show. Any other details?
Don't think it's set in stone yet but there is an AOR magazine show, a Prog magazine show and a Blues magazine show in the offing, along with a couple of takeovers, one this weekend features new Ozzy rock trio Tracer, don't know who's on breakfast but hoping for the return of Ted Rock.

Surprised it's not set in stone yet given Saturday is just over 27 hours away!

Sorry, don't think I was clear, this weekends programming is, which will involve a lot of download related stuff, but there's also a couple of takeovers, but the normal run of the mill weekend stuff hasn't been settled yet.

What will become of them?
