Song wont play on ipod

Ok normally i know all about ipods etc, but im stuck lol

One of the songs i bought from itunes recently, just wont seem to play on my ipod.

It syncs to the ipod and is listed, but when i click to play it, it just skips past the song as if its finished.?

it plays fine on itunes on the laptop.

anyone have any idea?

    It is possible that the song is corrupt in a way that the iPod cannot play it, I have had this problem with videos I have tried to play where they play fine on the computer but not on the iPhone.

    I have aslo found this, on both songs from itunes and cd copied onto my computer. They will play fine in itunes but not on an ipod, one sollution is to 'record' the song from itunes using audacity (or other such program) convert it to mp3 then copy on to ipod.
