Three - The One SIM only and delayed contract

I posted this on another forum, but I hope you can help me, please.

I'm very interested in the Three Network= The One, for unlimited data plus tethering, however my contract with Virgin ends in Nov-Dec this year.

Is it possible to delay the beginning of my contract by one or two months? Just to leave my current contract for a little bit longer and then buy my way out for less £££.

I went to my local 3 store and the sales assistant there muttered something about I could start paying in October (would that be in advanced?) but he wasn't very clear on what he was saying and was mumbling a bit, so I'm not sure what he meant or whether to believe him.

Here is a link to the contract (for £15 pm)

Thanks for your replies.

If you sign up for a contract now. Three will take the first payment within a couple of weeks of you signing up, and it'll be a bit over 1 month's payment depending on when it's processed.

Why not just sign up when you want it rather than now?

As I understand it, it is limited time only
So if I don't take it now, I'll lose my chance.

Well, we're all under the impression that the new prices are permanent.

That would be great, that would give me time to finish off my current contract.

I asked in the 3 store. The sales assistant told me that they hadn't been given an end date but that in his opinion/experience it would probably end with the month.

Maybe I'm being naïve, getting sucked in, in the "I'll miss out" strategy!

The problem is, that if Three do suddenly end / change their existing 'deal' for whatever reason, there is nothing else offered by any other network which comes close, especially if you want to use tethering.

Ah, the typical salesman "it ends today" talk.

From what I've been told its permanent.
