For me it would have to be:

Young - Tulisa
Boyfriend - Justin Bieber
Somebody That I Used To Know - Gotye (I actually disliked this song and found it boring)
Up - James Morrison & Jessie J
Titanium - David Guetta ft Sia (got really annoying after a while)
Born To Die - Lana Del Rey
Never Be A Right Time - Professor Green
One Thing - One Direction
Charlie Brown - Coldplay
Lego House - Ed Sheeran
Love Me - Stooshe
Seven Nation Army - Marcus Collins
Proud - JLS
Stupid Hoe - Nicki Minaj
Call Me Maybe - Carly Rae Jepsen (fed up of it now)
Amazing - Matt Cardle
Silenced By The Night - Keane

All I can think of right now. This is all personal opinion of course :D What do you guys think are the worst songs of the year so far?

The worst thing about Up is that they are ripping off the title of a Saturdays classic:mad:

It is in my opinion as I find it very annoying after a while, especially as it can be overplayed.

Do Syco not realise, having branded One Direction as '1D', that that is also an abbreviation for one-dimensional? :D

No I never thought of that, but it sums their songs up nicely :D One-dimensional music for teenage girls :p

So one dimensional that pretty much every song starts with the same guy singing.. and the others following in the same order :D

Only really the singles do, many of the actual album tracks are different

That's basically it. It's like music-by-numbers really. At my university's end of exams party What Makes You Beautiful was played and everyone (except me) went mad for it. I thought to myself "have some people no taste?" :D

    Call me maybe
Somebody that I used to know

I think that's it so far. The two biggest hits of the year are in fact the biggest crap of so called music I have ever heard.

Can i be proud in admitting, i actually like Stupid hoe? :)

LMFAO - Sorry for Party Rocking and Sexy and I Know It - they are utter, utter shite.
The song that Radio 2 play all the time that is just 'No-n'-n'-no-no-no' over and over
Gary Barlow's song for the Jubilee - talk about overplayed!
Laserlight by Jessie J - Don't know what it is about this song as I like Jessie but I just can't like it.
    Titanium - is pretty awful.
Stooshe - Love Me - not a fan, also why is Travie McCoy in every single song nowadays?
I haven't heard of most of the songs in this thread... might have to check them out!

    TULISA - YOUNG

Marcus Collins - Seven Nation Army
Anything by (or featuring) David Guetta
Anything by (or featuring) Chris Brown
Anything by (or featuring) Nicki Minaj [with the exception of Give Me All Your Luvin']
Anything by (or featuring) Pitbull [with the exception of Dance Again]

Plenty of others but these are among the worst offenders! Doubt Tulisa will be beaten this year to the crown for Worst Song of 2012!

One Thing and Titanium (which I like) are technically from last year as they were both available to buy in 2011...

But the worst and most overated song of this year is Call Me Maybe for me, it makes me cringe and everytime I heard it in a club I head straight to the bar or toilets! :D

I hesitate to name the worst songs of the year, as despite the fact that I personally can't stand them, I can see why others, less cultured (:p) record buyers might.

However, those I think are the worst:

Alexandra Burke - Elephant (bad title too)
    Cheryl - Call My Name
    Jessie J - Laserlight
Marcus Collins - Seven Nation Army (piss poor cover)

And those that might be technically good songs but I just can't stand:

Carly Rae Jepsen - Call Me Maybe
    Jessie J - Price Tag
    Jessie J - Domino
One Direction - What Makes You Beautiful
