Can't find anything on the news sites about this yet but I live locally and the word is that a body has been found on allotments close to the university and is thought to belong to missing chef Claudia Lawrence. Sadly it's seemed likely from the start that she wouldn't be found alive. :(

Nothing on any of the Yorkshire news or newspaper sites that I can find yet. If true, I would expect it to be breaking news pretty quickly.

If nothing in the next few hours then it is likely to be just rumours unfortunately.

I've heard it from several people this evening, but I suppose info can soon become exaggerated.

Oh dear, that'd be terrible if it was true, the poor girl.

Some old fella probably said he found a dead bird among his cabbages.

Before you know it the Yorkshire Ripper has escaped.

If there is a body, and it turns out to be her, then she'll be the first victim of that nutjob, Stephen Griffiths.

Local news is due on any minute, i'm sure they'll be an update, even if very brief on there if a body has been found.

EDIT: Nothing on the local headlines.

Why - do you think they'll take her straight there?

Calender (local news for Yorkshire) has just finished on ITV1 and it wasn't mentioned.

No, but judging by the standards of policing in this Country they'll announce the finding of a mass-grave.

If it's true and she's been found, it'll be closure for her father.

I wish they'd find Suzy Lamplugh for her mother's sake, it must be awful knowing that your child is dead but not know where they're lying.

Don't know. Those are the only ones I can think of, just off the back of Fulford Ings.

Take an old joke and modify it for a new situation!

Sadly Diana Lamplugh had a stroke, has Alzheimers disease and is no longer aware. She requires full time residential care.

    Very sad for her family.

Azagoth cleverly re-used this old chestnut:

Ireland's worst air disaster occurred early this morning when a small two-seater Cessna plane crashed into a cemetery. Irish search and rescue workers have recovered 1826 bodies so far and expect that number to climb as digging continues into the night.....

Is there anything anywhere mentioning a body being found? Does anyone live nearby tha confirm or deny any police presence?

i feel very sorry for the families - it must be torture - i think mrs lamplugh would probably never had a stroke if she hadnt had all the stress about suzy.

I have no idea who she is or that she's been missing.

It's a high profile case, or was at least around the time she went missing.

The problem is so many people go missing they all start blending into each other.

Oh that IS sad and I hadn't heard. I remember her being very composed when she was appealing for help.

It's sometimes better just to keep your mouth shut and let people think you're ignorant, than to open it and have it proved beyond all doubt...

Don't you watch the TV news or read any newspapers?
