Ford KA Radio Problems

I have a new style Ford KA (2009 onwards). Every time I turn the ignition, the radio turns on, really loud! So I turn it down. I then start up the car, the radio switches on again and plays really loud.

I land up having to turn it down twice every time I go to use my car. Has anyone got an answer for how to set the default volume of the radio??

    I'm sure there is a setting buried somewhere about the default volume, there's definitely something about the RDS announcement versus other source volume in my KA radio.

    Not being in my KA at the moment, I can't go through the steps, but fiddle with the settings, try holding down the 'Menu' button for a few seconds etc. You'll get there eventually.

    My Polo does this too. I thought it was an electrical problem but it could be by design. I should probably get it sorted before I give my gran a lift.
