I set a Sci-Fi challenge here a while ago but it was guessed quickly (The Langoliers) so here is No.2 - slightly tougher. If anyone gets this I will be impressed.

    I don't know it looks like its from the 70s though?

    Yes - early 70's to be precise. Tricky one this - I will give it until tomorrow and then reveal the answer.

    The original Russian version, not the Clooney remake.

    Well I think the film is too long, and spending ages pointlessly driving along Japanese motorways is the sort of thing that makes it too long.

    Though I suppose those "futuristic" views of Japan must have been amazing for Russian audiences in 1972.
