What other channels shared space? Do you remember when channels shut down for the night? BBC 4 does that but its not exciting enough.

I was into wrestling in my teenage years in the 90s and remember the Cartoon Network/TNT one as TNT used to show WCW wrestling on Friday nights.

I think that at around the same time Television X would share with something else, perhaps one of the Granada channels? Not sure. I'd sometimes watch the 10 minute preview on cable and once or twice they forgot to turn it off. I wouldn't really call it scrambled on cable as you didn't see a scrambled picture, you just got a screen stating you're not subscribed. Anyway, that sometimes didn't appear and I got to watch everything. :cool:

I can't really be nostalgic for something that feels like it happened five minutes ago. People young enough to have experienced this period during their childhood or teenage years shouldn't be indulging in nostalgia yet. They aren't old enough for such nonsense.

I seem to recall a few German satellite channels that would be showing wholesome family shows and cartoons up until 9pm and then switch over to showing hardcore porn.

On Cable Midlands we never got Paramount until it rebranded to Telewest, so it changed to a Nickelodeon caption.

I know on Sky Fox Kids & the original Sky 2 shared a channel, but what did Sky 2 replace on Telewest as I remember it sharing with another daytime channel other than Fox Kids?

This thread has bought back a lot of memories for me, thanks OP

Seeing as the ones I was going to mention, has already been stated, I am unable to add any channels but do remember at the time of these when Trouble / Bravo, Nickelodeon / Paramount, they actually showed something on MTV that is quite rare now........Music !!!, sure they had Beavis & Butthead on most nights, but they had also had the weekly addition of Headbangers Ball, but the majority was music, along with the other channels like The Box where you could hear Guns n Roses - November Rain about 10 times a day, mostly at the cost of my parents phone bill with an evil 0891 number.

One of the very first satellite channels was Superchannel which changed identity a few times (NBC Superchannel, NBC Europe) before the transponders were taken over by unrelated channels.
