I reeeeally need help!

Okay, here goes.
I have a Nokia 6500 on Orange.
Until quite recently, I could use the internet on it without any problems. But now, every time I go to a webpage I can't see any text, just a load of tiny squares. The only exception to this is Facebook, which works fine.
I've tried fiddling with the settings to no avail.
It's not the phone itself, or Orange because my girlfriend is has a different phone and is on 02 and she is having the same problem.
Can anyone tell me what I can do to rectify this?
