Saw her in Hard Days Night which is where George met her ,but she left him for Eric Clapton  .

To be fair to her, that was a few years after George had blurted out that he was in love with Ringo's wife at the time, while the couples were socialising together. Both marriages struggled on for years after that incident but neither was ever the same again.
Apparently George wasn't really heartbroken when she finally left him, it seemed to be a case of 'She's all yours, mate'. :D

Pattie's had some pretty incredible songs written about her throughout the years.

Indeed both Layla and Somthing~ It is amazing that George's friendships with both Ringo and Eric survived the above mentioned incidents

I love this interview with George and Eric that came on tv in Japan just before they did the concerts there.
In this interview George says that Something was not about Pattie.

He would say that, wouldn't he? If you were married to another woman you are hardly going to admit that it is about an ex.

Noel Gallagher has recently changed his stance on Wonderwall- he now says it was not about his ex-wife.

It is what anyone would do.

Surprised nobody has mentionned 'While My Guitar Gently Weeps'............George's best known song ?..........and a classic

When we were 12/13 years old and playing at being the Beatles I was always George..........cos I looked like him......

well, as much as a 12 year old can look like a grown man.....

    :D

Anyone seen "the Concert for George" where his son Danni plays alongside the "oldies"... His likeness to his dad made it look like young George had come back to play alongside his friends again... Gave me goosebumps...

My favourite George song is 'its all to much'. written in 1967 .
Proto-Heavy metal intro, psychdelic rock. Pure musical bliss.

My favourite song. It's a shame it was overlooked and underrated. It would have been great if it had been released with the verse that they cut.

I'm most looking forward to Ram and Tug of War myself plus the full Rockshow, and I hope they hurry up and get around to the box-set of unreleased stuff, similarly there was supposed to be a George Harrison Anthology type thing and he's apparently got lots of songs unreleased in the archives, some of the All Things Must Pass era ones are good.
