    Out of tune.

In fact, all three finalists were out of tune at the beginning, the comparison with Take That was a bit appalling, really!

Better than last night duet tbf,but his voice isn't 100% due to illness, something he can't do anything about really:)

I love Katy Perry's version of this song but that one felt tortured and bland.

The lime green pants may be his undoing.

I mean, WTF? No respectable fashionista would vote after that. :D

Didn't think it was great, tbh.

That was one hell of a tough song, I think he did very well with it.

Now let's see how tough the others songs are in comparison......

Oh dear...top marks for the attempt though he's blatently not able to fire on all cyclinders. Hopefully people will see through that and vote based on his performances overall rather than just the past 2 weeks where he's been ill.

    But those trousers....

Mmmm yes but what's in them more importantly! ;) Mmmm having rude thoughts now, bye bye ;):D:D

Never had a good word to say about Cher and I can still see that for the awfulness it was.

First time I've watched the X Factor this year - I find it's all a bit hysterical to be honest and it makes me cringe.

But if this guy's in the final three (and the others who were also out of tune at the beginning) I hear the sound of the bottom of the talent barrel being scraped.

twas good..you could tell by his expression that hes frustrated by his flu damage..why do peoples memories lapse several weeks in?

    you all know he's a great singer:mad:

I'm not bitter. I really feel for him as he's at a major disadvantage to the others so I hope people recognize that.

Vocally it was very poor though.

Shame for Matt - if 1 Direction sang live with no backing vocals they would sound far worse.

I have no hidden agenda but I thought that was poor and it did sound like his throat problems are still around. The judges comments in this series in particular have been worthless and by dishing out the praise they did for his performance makes a mockery of even having the judges comments.

BAD! Matt has really hurt his voice! I don't know what is going on. He used to be pitch perfect and even the easy notes are difficult! Bad song choice too.

this guy has actually been pretty good vocally all series. but since his illness -a couple of weeks ago- he's really been struggling.

    i feel sorry for him.

So much better than last night, which I think is all Matt could hope for considering he's had such a bad throat.
