Is anyone else familier with the actor James Purefoy? He played Mark Antony in HBO's Rome. I think he is sooo sexy and very under rated as an actor. Here's a link to some piccies

Oooh must check it out in the cinema. I had the ultimate crush on him when he played Mark Antony in Rome, he's so handsome. He had fantastic chemistry with Polly Walker another under rated actress I think she's brill.

I know I'm still not over that show being cancelled early:mad: They are set to make a film, apparently the script is completed and they are shopping it around so fingers crossed. Although it wont be the same without James/Antony nd Atia/Polly.

I totally agree. Atia and Antony were my fave characters in Rome and they worked really well together.

    Sigh.

The loss of Rome still hurts. Especially when you read about the five-season plan. It was just. so. good.

I know they were great. That washing scene with james was hot :o:D Polly is such a fabulous actress the emotions she could put into a scene with her eyes were amazing. I also loved Pullo and Vorenus and the actress who played Niobe was good too. I wasn't really feeling Cleopatra don't know if it was the actress or just how they potrayed her.

I was stood next to him in a pub in the Cotswolds about 5 years back, the man is seriously gorgeous in the flesh and has a voice that sounds like honey dripping off toast.

LOL, seriously charming. It was an effort not to fall ass over tit in the puddle of drool at my feet.:D

rome was indeed excellent and it went out on a high. the last episode, the the antony and cleopatra story and antonys fall from a popular roman general to debauched, despised, drunk was great.

rome without him or vorenius certainly wouldn't be the same but i'd certainly be going to see it. here's hoping they can get it together.... although apart from firefly and the x-files, i cant think of another show which made it to the movies after it finished its tv run
