1985 EastEnders is great! ?

The BBC have put the whole 1985 season on YouTube, a brilliant watch for all EE fans. Just goes to show you don't need explosions & stunts to get good ratings, just good characters, decent actors & plenty of scenes oozing of drama. Currently on episode 52 :p

    Well, you can have explosions and stunts but yes, good actors, good characters and plenty of scenes 'oozing with drama' (and a good story) is critical. What was great about old EastEnders was that it was a very good representation of the East End under Mrs Thatcher but with modern Shakespearean/Gothic drama. It does need to be more East End and more Shakespearean/Gothic.
