I see that the L-DTPS licence for That's Oxford has been further amended to extend the "must launch" date to 26 March 2015.
It was originally 5 November 2014 before it was amended/extended to today's date. Now it has been given a further two months to launch.
Bodes well doesn't it
PS Your TV Manchester has a current "must launch" date of next Wednesday 4 February but hasn't even been granted a L-DTPS licence yet so looking unlikely that will happen either.
Wasn't the original launch date supposed to be 'in the first half of 2014'?
Then it became Autumn 2014
Then 'early December' 2014
Then 28 January 2015
Now it's 26 March 2015.......
According to Ofcom 'All L-DTPSs must begin broadcasting within two years of licence award otherwise Ofcom may re-advertise the licence.'
The licence was awarded on 6 Nov 2012 - which surely means that the licence could well now be re-advertised?
Any dates prior to 5 November 2014 would have been indications from the broadcaster as to when they hoped to launch. Most Local TV stations have been hopelessly optimistic in that regard. The first contractual "must launch" date was 5 November 2014 - set by Ofcom. However, it is also in Ofcom's power to extend that date if they feel it is justified. Clearly that is what they have chosen to do (twice!) for whatever reasons. So whilst Ofcom could indeed have revoked the licence they chose instead to grant an extension. I doubt too many others would be hammering on Ofcom's door for this particular "franchise" or crock of **** as I prefer to look at it
It would be nice if they could have a selection of these local programmes put on the iPlayer so you could watch them outside the region (or in some cases what is actually your own region)
It keeps Esther off our screens for another month.
Personally, I'd rather see "Jack TV" - where the radio plays the music, the tv would play the videos and local/national ads. As well as the "digital jockey" by Paul Darrow.
Breakfast TV from the "Dumpy Building" - not unlike the original BBC Scotland "Breakfast TV trial" way back in the 80s.

Esther will not be coming - she has resigned from Thats Media.
After a few disastrous tech issues we are gearing up to launch on Friday... with a small but dedicated team we will be bringing local stories alive.
We are taking your feedback - so get in touch
They have been using Facebook since the middle of February. They have mentioned tech issues before (although these messages appear to have been deleted); they wouldn't be the only one if they were struggling to get a reliable connection through to Comux; other locals certainly have had this issue.
Comments
Was hoping for at least a short promo.
Nothing on the official website - which still lists the on-air Solent channel as "coming soon".
For the past couple of weeks both out Freeview boxes have displayed up to 8 days worth of 'That's Oxford Test Transmission' in the guide.
Yesterday after the 28th updated for all the other channels - ch008 says up 'No information' available.
Today all the other channels have updated for 29th - but ch008 has not.
So hopefully something will happen on 28th which is their must launch or else date.
Same animated caption and still no Guide data from Wednesday morning
So will they actually launch?
Let's see what tomorrow brings

I wonder if there will be anything this time around?

Now 7.20pm and still the same animated image that has been there for 6 months.
Which has been edited out of the post...
Moving to Twitter
https://twitter.com/Thatsoxfordtv/status/589137152597958658 Given the licence stipulations, by 23:59:59, I assume?
And the That's TV website http://www.thatstv.com/ appears to have gone down....
