Rangers want to sign D'Utd captain Jon Daly.

    Good luck to him.

I'm sure he'll love playing for fans who used to boo him when his name was announced just because he is from the south of Ireland.

He fits the profile at least - is he out of contract?

No, still under contract but this is Greece (and the league is in a right mess at the mo') so the amount could be minimal.

Charles Green mentioning us yet again as he does the media rounds - anyone would think he's obsessed by us.

So Dundee's season finished yesterday, and Dundee United's finished today. Daly on the way out, Russell out with a broken leg, heading out of the cup and an unproven manager to deal with all of it.

No confidence against us at Hampden?

Our recent record there is poor

    Ross County - Lost
    Aberdeen - Won
    Aberdeen - Won
    Rangers - Lost
    Motherwell - Won
    Falkirk - Won
    Kilmarnock - Lost
    Hearts - Lost
    St Mirren - Lost

4 wins and 5 losses although to be fair to us we have made it to Hampden every time so were probably due to loss a couple having not been knocked out before then for over 3 years.

Brian Stockbridge the The Rangers Financial Director "Nobody expects the Club to be making a profit in its first year" WHOOPS, seems Chuckles never filled him in on the party line.

I'm not sure even Chuckles is trying to make out that they are really making a profit ( although with him I wouldn't be sure.... ). Just one or two eedjits on here and other forums.

I meant more him saying "the Clubs first year" rather than what other Sevco fans would say "The holding company of the company that runs the Club" or whatever lol

He's ok to good. Not a superstar by any means but puts in a very decent performance. Leads the assists table in the league this season.

That would explain our interest, we could do with a winger capable of creating things.

Well he seemed pretty confident months ago that come the end of the season newco's balance sheet would look better than celtic's.

But Rangers are such a fascinating case study with some interesting characters.

If you'ed read much in here, you would be aware that Celtic fans ( and others ) don't deny their interest.

It's the gift that keeps on giving...

It's funny how The Rangers fans pick and choose.

The titles and history, yea we'll keep that; the shame, debts and fines...nah, they can go.

looking at the evidence its 100% clear we are the same club

    lord nimmo smith

"the club continues in existence despite its transfer to another owner and operator"

sfl - "To everyone involved in the club and its remarkable and loyal fans Happy 140 years Anniversary.”

spl - “it is an exisisting club, even if it is a new company”

sfa - "Different corporate entity but same Rangers, same history, same honours accrued over 140 years.”

the eca - "The organisation considers the club’s history to be continuous regardless of the change of company.”

uefa - “Clubs are not allowed to change their legal form or structure in order to obtain a licence, simply by ‘cleaning up’ their balance sheet while offloading debts – thus harming creditors (including employees and social/tax authorities) as well as threatening the integrity of sporting competition. Any such alteration of a club’s legal form or structure is deemed to be an interruption to its membership of a UEFA member association and consequently three years must pass before a club can APPLY AGAIN for a UEFA licence.

fifa- Rangers history included in full on fifa website which includes link to club website which shows that fifa consider rangers history to be continuous

the scottish courts - "This is a petition for judicial review by the Rangers Football Club plc, a company presently in administration. That company presently operates Rangers Football Club (to whom I shall refer as "Rangers").

bdo - "It's important to understand that the appointment of liquidators will not mean the end of football at Ibrox - only the end of the company that ran the club,"

duff and phelps - “The Club will continue to operate as it has always done but within a new company structure.”

hmrc - “the liquidation route does not prejudice the proposed sale of the club. This sale can take place either through a CVA or a liquidation.”

the stock market - "Rangers International Football Club plc following admission will own and operate The Rangers Football Club "

Tony Ward, Managing Director, PUMA UKIB, added:

“Rangers Football Club is an iconic club with a rich history. When the opportunity arose to develop a technical partnership with Rangers, we were delighted to reach agreement with the club. We are extremely proud to be associated with the club, and look forward to providing technical and training wear for Rangers Football Club.”

Puma being paid to manufacture some kits then?

    Oh bollocks.

Having a chance to avoid relegation and blowing it is worse than not having a prayer and letting the inevitable happen. Could make for a nervy run-in for Dundee.

The new club stuff is literally just a point scoring exercise now, no sane person literally sees Rangers as new.

To be fair - Both Charles Green and James Traynor said it would be a new club if the CVA failed - which it did.

So were they lying at the time?
