There are several variations, changed it to the most popular one now.

Given the nature of Dr Who fandom I think it's obligatory to declare one's heterosexuality or people will assume otherwise...;)

I assumed you'd changed it for the sake of decency :D

Some of the gentlemen here want to ride him like there's no tomorrow. This will deal them a big blow.

On DS every guy is presumed gay for some bizarre reason.

I know this is intended to be a joke, but it's a stereotype which annoys the hell out of me. When exactly did Who become the gay show? It's a comparatively recent phenomenon. In the eighties, Who fans were seen as introverted, socially inept anoraks who couldn't get girlfriends, now we're apparently all supposed to be gay. Why can't these ludicrous assumptions be set aside, particularly now that the show is seemingly such a huge success with mainstream viewers?

That made me laugh so much that I fired tea out of my nostrils.*

I would question the use of the word "gentlemen", though. That kind of value judgement seems very out of place round these parts ...

    * NOTE: I was drinking tea at the time.

That would be some of the ladies as well! :)

(Also snorted coffee through nostrils. Loving your turn of phrase)

    Well, he is Doctor Who.

As Mrs Merton once asked Debbie McGee 'what was it that initially attracted you to the millionaire Paul Daniels?':D
