Universal Jobmatch is a complete and utter joke, can't believe the idiot IDS spend millions on it.

the main goal of Universal Jobmatch is to purposely look for reasons to sanction claimants, my advice is DO NOT use it! there are plenty of other more secure sites for jobseekers to use to job search :)

It is awful, mine is full of jobs by a recruitment agency, who say "no" once then never answer you again. Oh and the endless "national jobs" that have no use or purpose to most! Anyway that's my own rant about it, the old site was much better. This site seems to have been created to spy on us and tell us how useless we are .

I uploaded my cv on there the other week and out of the five office jobs i could do, only one had an 'apply' option.

all companies and job seekers should stop using universal jobmatch to advertise/apply for vacancies, then it'll put IDS's plans into complete chaos and hopefully show him up for the demented power crazed imbacile he really is :)

I cant even log into it this morning, thought I would check it out to see if the massive bugs were fixed, such as when clicking apply button the job is listed in the applied for jobs instead of doing nothing. New password reset, but the new password also failed to get me in.

As always a government IT project costs 10000 times more than it should and never seems to work properly. I wonder if the UK coders are outsourcing to Indian schoolkids for £1 a week, while sitting at work playing angry bird and looking at faccebook all day.

    I Fully Agree.

I was just saying that in a conversation I was having with someone about an hour ago.

I just had a look at this, seems to be chocca with agencies, I stop reading as soon as I see the word "client"

Can't you just use reed? You can filter out agencies on there

I've just called them and according to a manager they are not aware of any problems.

    I give up

    http://www.agencycentral.co.uk

This seems to be the agency responsible

Just did a search for Northamptonshire and these people are responsible for around two-thirds of the posted "vacancies".

yes ive noticed alot of those jobs as well, TBH I noted that ALOT of the jobs are agency ones, which always come with a ? on them anyways.

I've applied for loads of jobs on the universal job site, went to the agency headquarters, signed on, only to find out the job never existed. Happened to me twice, and since then I rarely use their website, unless it is a job advertised by a company themselves.

I was told to sign up for UJM and something called "Indeed.co.uk" - when I tried Indeed I may as well have been using Google FFS  "Looking for writing skills/administration on Amazon.co.uk?" indeed :D

If you type 'London' under Location every single page is now dominated by Agency Central this has been going on now for 7 days, what about the poor small businesses that are now unable to advertise vacancies because this scammy scummy company had dominated the entire UK job centre website.

My friend applied for two jobs with this Agency Warehouse company and within minutes he received animal and granny porn to his mail box.

Actually it looks like an attempt to garner traffic for their own jobsearch site, because none of the job adverts actually provide the contact details for an employer or an individual agency - they just link to a group of similar looking job-search sites, which then link to other job-search sites;)

The jobs probably are legit, it's just that you would think someone running UJM would have noticed the blatant spamming by this particular site.

I don't think there's many mainstream job sites on the internet that don't see this sort of thing.

They are in a way fake, as each job maybe real but has been contracted out to many other job agencies across the UK. So the chances you will be called for an interview is highly unlikely, plus many of the jobs are months out of date. So they are really just advertising there own brand as much as possible, this not only effects millions of job hunters who are now forced to use other websites but also for employers who had the opportunity to advertise on a free government jobs website, which they can no longer do.

Yet one spamming company has decided they should spam the entire only UK government website, so any other company small or large now has NO chance of been able to advertise for new staff as you can only view today's 40 pages.

So once a small independent shop advertises around another 200 or so pages are added from the job warehouse spam site.

but of course all these 'jobs' will be counted by the government as 'new job vacancies'

now i wonder why a blind eye is being turned

If you actually click apply then you will be directed to an application page for 'FREE CV Review', you will then enclose your CV and personal information to a CV review company based in India, and within 24 hours receive an email advising you your CV needs improvement and you need to pay £79.99 to make your CV improvements.

Within 60 minutes your email inbox will be filled with job agency spam, CV review prices, animal and granny porn, and viagra tablets.
