Hi all
I recently opened google on my pc and something called astromenda also opened.>:(
I scanned the pc for threats with Mcafee and it quarantined 4 items.
I thought that would have worked. Alas not.
Does anybody know of a simple way of removing this very annoying thingfrom my Pc?

It seems this is a bit of crapware bundled in with other software downloaded from the internet. So in future be very careful what you download. Check carefully what it says as you install anything downloaded. Don't blindly click Next in a rush to get it installed. It's doing that that lets in loads of nasties or unwanted rubbish.
Worked like a dream.

This, although not 100% effective, helps prevent unwanted programs installed by not reading installation screens.
Any prevention is better than none.
