I love a good movie where that happens, through greed/evil/money.

Anyone have any recommendations?

    The Mechanic, Charles Bronson and Jan Michael Vincent, directed by Michael Winner.

    Bronson is a professional assassin who takes Vincent's character under his wing and teach him the trade, but of course things don't go smoothly.

    I mention it because I watched the blu ray release of this a few days ago. Cannot say it has aged well to be honest.

    There was a remake a few years ago with Jason Statham and Ben Foster. Not terrible but not that great either.

    Goodfellas maybe? Henry Hill is shown as being taken under Jimmy's wing from an early age, and of course he eventually turns state's evidence and dobs them all in, including Jimmy.

    I guess ep3 as well. Anakin turns on his mentors.

    GoldenEye and Skyfall the baddies turn on their mentors/previous employers.
