Hehe yes wine is great for relaxing.

I find wine gets me a bit drunk faster than most other forms of alcohol

    :p

Blogging can be good for clearing the mind.
A hard days work. Knowing that I've worked hard and achieved something during the day is very satisfying and relaxing!

Not so many things for me these days but what comes to mind includes -
    Listening to certain music.
When I hear from a friend who backs me up and is being nice (if that makes sense?).
Watching an uplifting movie, I suppose.
Enjoying a good meal, I suppose.
    Reading an interesting book.
Other things that used to, don't so much anymore.

My very comfy bed. My dog. My family. A wee cup of tea and a Jaffa cake.

    Oh and reading.

Reading. Takes you off into a different world.

Doing one thing at a time and doing it well, rather than doing a range of stuff. Also, if I an watching TV, I watch TV. I don't pick up my mobile or surf the net at the same time. Since I stopped doing the latter I feel much more relaxed.

Walking, particularly by rivers, lochs or in woods.

Pampering myself, hot bath with a nice bath oil.

    Music.

Avoiding office politics at work. Learnt to keep my thoughts to myself and let others mouth off. Speaking up just means you carry work home with you so that you fret about it when you should be chilling.

Reading Digital Spy forums, although some of them can wind you up you know which ones to avoid or depart from quickly :)

I was also thinking praying can make me feel a bit more relaxed, to have a moment to think of the very basic things to be grateful of but I know that might be seen as a controversial thing to mention(?).

Probably but it's true. Meditation works for many in all it's guises.

Sometimes it helps to get back to basics, it helps put things in perspective. Sometimes its hard to look past certain circumstances but regardless, there are certainly others out there having to deal with worse situations than my own.
