Chesney should win the lottery, it would give Corrie some interesting opportunities for storylines involving him.
Perhaps Rosie Webster could take a shine to him (well, his money!). John Stape could try and steal/con the money from him. Cilla would almost certainly return and claim how she always loved him and regret the day she ever left him. Mr T could offer him a share in Underworld. Maybe he could buy the whole street and redevelop it.
Or then again maybe he would take the money and get the hell out of Dodge

Plus he is only there because he was once upon a time 'cute' and that scene were Cilla dragged him away form the house.
Hardly makes up for years of crap acting and no interesting qualities.
