How to get out of a rut?

Every day is the same old drudgery - get up, breakfast, do some tidying, shower, make my lunch for work, go to work, come home from work, go to bed.

I can't seem to get out of that rut and it's starting to get me down.

Putting a bit of old cardboard or old carpet under the 'drive' wheels can help. It stops you losing traction and you should be able to drive out of any rut fairly easily.

I think you should listen to this guy. He gives lots of great advice about remaining healthy, happy, motivated etc. The video I linked to addresses your specific issue. :)

there are loads of ways to express creativity, doesn`t have to mean "art".

I'm not overly fond of heights especially when you only have what amounts to a kite keeping you in the air

Ruts are indeed hard to get out of. A day can turn into a week, a week into a month, a month into a year a year into a decade. It really can go like that.

You can have moments of inspiration where you have positive thoughts about how you can change things in your life but you know what ?....the next day that positive thought has vanished. The hardest thing sometimes is actually getting out of the house and doing something about it

Entertainment of one sort or another be that tv or the internet while good at times can help keep us stuck in that rut. Its just too easy and too comfortable to sit slumped in front of a tv or the internet while life passes us by.

Getting in touch with our authentic self and finding out those things that really inspire us will help us

Sometimes the ability to think really clearly can be a long time in coming when we get stuck in a rut

Its like smokers or overweight people or heavy drinkers or any other problem in life, we know deep down we need to make changes but often we dont do anything about it

Its up to us. Lifes short

Loose some weight and get your own place. Work on your confidence issues and try and get a better job.
