Anyone suggest some good mini cruises?

I would dearly like to go on a cruise, but my husband is not too keen. However, he has said that he will go on a two or three day cruise with me, see how he gets on with it and if he is ok, then we can go on a longer one.

I just wondered if anyone could recommend a good mini cruise to somewhere in Europe, possibly Holland or Denmark. Also I am disabled so wouldn't be able to walk far to explore the area, so it would be great if the company arranged a trip out from the ship.

I have seen that some ferries do a mini cruise, but I don't think that would give the experience of being on a cruise on a ship, as I would like to experience all the things that a cruise ship has to offer.

I would be pleased with any suggestions.

I did a mini cruise from Newcastle to Bergen YEARS ago! The boat wasn't brilliant but the scenery is stunning. Bergen is of course surrounded by mountains but I think the town is quite flat and there are funicular railways up into the hills which I presume have to be accessible. I'd research it if I were you because the journey up the Norwegian coast alone is worth every penny!

Have a look at P&O cruises, they do a few throughout the year. A good cruise line to start with as a first timer.

No a mini cruise with the ferry companies will not give you the experience of a proper cruise line, not even close.

I've done a 3 day cruise in the Mediterranean, combined with a 4 night stay in Barcelona. It was fabulous.

You can also get shorter cruises on the Rhine and Moselle rivers in Germany with visits to historic towns along the rivers in this wine growing area.

You could do this, and perhaps would be more interesting, but a river cruise is not the same experience as a cruise in a big ship.

That might indeed be true but a river cruise does have the advantage of scenery to look at and much shorter times between shore visits to places of interest. There are examples of such cruises below:
