T-Mobile G2 Touch (HTC Hero) Android 2.1 update now available

Just to let everyone know, the Android 2.1 update has now been released for T-Mobile G2 Touch HTC Hero owners. If you already have the mini update, you can get the download now by going to About Phone in Settings, and Check for Updates.

If you're having trouble with the pre-2.1 update, and receiving a phone with an orange warning triangle, you'll need to re-install the 1.5 ROM available on HTC's website for the G2 Touch first.

I'll let you know how my update goes, I'm downloading it as I type.

    Update takes quite a while to unpack and install, also goes through a few reboots, and uses about 1/3 battery from fully charged (at least on my phone), but installs without a hitch, and keeps your settings/programs, but does reset your desktop, so you'll need to re-organise everything to your liking again.
