Would have been pretty pointless to put TreyC through anyway...

She can belt, yeah, but can she do anything else? Emotion? Nope. Subtlety? Hell no.

The point was really hammered home when she spent 2 minutes SHOUTING Creep - a melancholy Radiohead song.

Pretty irrelevant in modern music and would have been eviction fodder by Week 5.

    Agreed.

I'm not a fan of Katie or Cher personally, but at least they're a bit different, a bit quirky. There's a chance of them catching fire with the right song and building a following. Especially Cher. Equally though, one or both could flop hard.

TreyC is what she is. Competent singer, would have given competent performances and eventually went out midway through.

It's a risk/reward scenario. Both Cher and Katie have higher upsides.

Agree, although I would have put her over Cher and Katie. She did do an awful lot of shouting!

Both Cher and Katie also have catastrophically lower downsides. At least with Treyc you know you're guaranteed a good performance. With Katie and Cher you're not even guaranteed a performance.

Treyc can always be coached to tone her vocals down a bit - Katie and Cher can't be taught not to fall apart, or to sing (because neither of them really can, particularly Cher).
