Extra weight of quad lmb over single

Before changing to a quad LMB I read that the extra weight might need some adjustment of the dish but to be honest the weights are very similar and caused no probs.

Out of interest, we have doves that nest around the garden and just love to perch on the lmb arm during the day so not wishing to harm them I just smeared some grease on the arm and they soon got the message:D

I changed mine over and the extra weight was insignificant. No adjustment required of the dish.Checked diagnostics and no change to quality or signal strength

Not sure where LMB came from. It's a LNB Low Noise Block Down Converter and it's occasionly called a LNC Low Noise Converter. You can simulate the effect of bad weather by covering about half of the dish with a wet towel.

It's not the weight of the LNB so much as the weight of the additional cables. Some dishes are really flimsy and the arm will bow with just a few extra grammes.
