This is a bit of surprise, but thinking back I haven't seen him around for a while. Shame, as he was a very good actor. The Long Good Friday stands out for me. RIP.
Very sad news indeed . He'd been diagnosed with Parkinsons a couple of years ago and, for what it's worth, at least he wont be facing a slow physical decline over many years. I hope it was a relatively swift and peaceful end for him. I loved him in Mermaids with Cher .

His last film was Snow White and the Huntsmen, which came out in 2012, he retired shortly after making that cause he had Parkinson's disease.
I will always remember him as Arthur Parker, the travelling song sheet salesman in Dennis Potter's brilliant 'Pennies from Heaven' one of the most original dramas ever! he was so believable in that role, as a kind of 'holy fool' who was low and dishonest, yet lovable too.

I so enjoyed watching him on screen .
It's a shame .
RIP Bob.
Very good actor.
I liked when he was asked a few years ago about which living person he despised the most and he said 'Tony Blair'. Spot on, Bob
