I think having a strong sex drive would help in leading a life in buddhism or chi kung even! it develops internal energy if anyone knows what I mean....I did not expend any semen for about 6 months as I was doing yoga exercises and meditation, their comes a point in the training where the energy gets that strong that it arcs to other energy centres in the body....this happened to me, and the energy release was only triggered by the figure of a female form before me...I also know that in buddhism they use this technique to trigger the energy flow also, I was a young man of 20 at the time which probably helped in developing that energy so quickly.....I can only describe the energy moving in my system at that time as how a snake swims through water; but the frequency was a lot faster, so fast it made my whole navel shake violently.......maybe thats why some muslims prefer to have their women cover up, they may not have had time to crack one off in those days....I digress a lot methinks, see what happens when you don't man the pump fellas, you could be in for a frightening experience.

did it happen in the supermarket?

Speaking as a celibate man, I find masturbation does the job.

Whenever you're feeling up for it, just think of Ann Widdecombe lying on top of you, grinning and it kills it stone dead.

as an 'enforced' celibate, you cope quite nicely because you don't really miss something you don't really have :)

Might I suggest anyone curious about how sexually deprived males take out their frustration play world of warcraft for a while?

An hour or so and you're questions will be pretty much answered.

Nuns and Priests only became celebrate because they where having rampaging sex orgies with each other and so after the Biegais sp? riles where set up to stop it.

I think its unhealthy to repress sexual urges, but then the catholic church is so hung up about sex being dirty that they couldnt even stand for Christ being created by sex so they went with the whole virgin birth gig.

I do see how come types who are low in sexual urges can easily go without and it not matter, but to not allow priests etc to marry to form and grow wise in a loving relationship with a fellow human must make them very neive and challaged to help those that do it let alone worship their god with an understanding of what love it.

All in all its a very interesting question,

It's funny enough walking in on your brother having it of under the covers, but could you imagine walking into the church for sunday surface a little early and the preist is sitting on the chair looking up at the statue of jesus screaming "Oh Lord" :)

Dont be so certain that everyones got a lot of sexual tension in the first place! We're all different. Our world is so heavily sexualised these days. It would be interesting to see how the world would fare without internet (porn) and magazines gleefully revealing both abs & cellulite in equal measure! Even computer games have avatars which are sexual/homoerotic, which I find disconcerting. Whatevr happened to Pac man?!

omg, I had a very worrying moment a few weeks back. She was being interviewed on BBC and seems to have lost a lot of weight , her face showed it. She was wearing make-up and for a very brief moment I had a feeling of attraction to her(facially anyway).
I slapped myself quickly and am recovering from the trauma well now :)

Err, no. Shaolin monks don't use Internet porn. The idea is absurd. They are above it.

Well we wouldn't want them doing it in public.
    heehee

I take it that the phrases refer to masturbating? Celibacy does not forbid masturbating, it's about abstaining from a sexual relationship with another.

Quite easily I would imagine, the longer you go without the less you feel the urge.
I went right off it the last time I was pregnant, must have been a year before I had any sex and I had to force myself as I had no urge after going so long without. Once I was back in the swing of things, I couldn't get enough so maybe you just don't miss or want it if you go without for long enough.

Thanks - that's really interesting. Your meditation techniques must have affected your dream states too then? Otherwise you'd have had wet dreams?

Which is why I said "Err, joke." As in the poster wasn't being serious. He was joking.
