    Plus a prism should be clear so that all the colour spectrum can be refracted through it when white light shone on it....the colour being red will prevent the red colour wavelength being shown!

    I think you mean faces.

    Pyramids can have various numbers of faces. A tetrahedron, or triangular based pyramid has 4 faces. A rectangular based has 5, pentagonal based has 6, a circular based (or cone) has an infinite number of faces.

    A prism is a transparent object that refracts light. That bottle would certainly do that, so it is a prism. Prisms can be in various unusual shapes, as in the pentaprism of an SLR camera.
