Not sure what I think about that 'laugh more than cry' comment. While I don't want a self indulgent Kleenex fest I don't really want something light and fluffy and knockabout. I want high drama and epic scope and lovely nostalgia. Hmmmmmm.
I like the 'It's Johns' comment though. Yes it is. So lets have him back.
Comedy doesn't have to be lighthearted fluff. There is an awful lot of deep and meaningful stuff you can get away with for a younger audience by wrapping it up in laughs...
Why are you talking about the Pope on a spoilers thread? At this rate I wouldn't be surprised if someone claimed the Basel Committee on Banking Supervision are the villains for the 50th anniversary

I had a dream last night about the Anniversary episode! Well, kinda, I was also in it, and then it materialised into something else entirely... You know how dreams are...
But one thing I remember clearly is that The Doctor kept spontaneously turning into past Doctors, with a very quick regeneration effect each time. Not sure why I'm mentioning this, but there's hardly a lot going on in terms of new about the new series at the moment!

Ok, I'm convinced again now. Colin's in Cardiff at the same time Nicola's pulled out of a convention due to work commitments. That's just too much of a coincidence. It's happening folks! (please.)
If there is a proper multi doctor special being planned then there is no way it will be kept secret for much longer so mercifully we will be able to end that bit of speculation soon enough.
Sorry, bp2, there's no offence intended but I couldn't resist the joke.
Dr Sheldon Cooper from "The Big Bang Theory". It's a US sitcom concerning geeky, but smart, scientists who are sf fans and the hot woman who is their neighbour. They are, of course, Doctor Who fans.

I think I'm losing the plot! All that from one tiny insignificant quote. The madness of being a fan...
You're probably right though:)

Pope Rani the First.
Well, he's taken the name fRANcIs, so that's a big clue.;)
I thought we were talking about the Rani?
SSHHHHHH.
At least put it in spoliers:p

Read that but it could mean anything though.
Sheldon, is that you?
And Colin Baker has tweeted that he's in Cardiff at the moment...
Really? Surely he'd be more careful? I'm sure he knows what everyone's going to assume if he says that. Hmm.
Apparently it's for some programme on ITV called 'The Committee Meeting'.
All though I won't hesitate to type 'blatant cover up' to keep the 'oooh'ing and 'ahh'ing alive!
