To correct myself from post #2209, talkSPORT's Masters Special with Danny Kelly, Rupert Bell and Bob Bubka will actually be going out between 10pm-midnight rather than 8-10pm. And to add to that post, Tom Rennie handled the half-time and full-time links during talkSPORT Live's coverage of Chelsea v Manchester City before presenting their subsequent Premier League highlights programme.
Don't Ingham and Green normally do both of the FA Cup semi-finals for 5 Live? I was a bit surprised to hear Dennis closing the game yesterday although thought he did well when speaking about the crowd trouble.
I know I've asked this before but why don't Talksport use Andy Gray when they have a number of decent commentaries on a Sunday? One example would be when Man City V Chelsea was on the same day as the Capital one cup final earlier this season and again today he could have been used on the Newcastle-Sunderland derby or the Stoke match.
I don't think it is unheard of for Green not to do a semi final and he does seem to be sitting out more games this season-- he didn't make the trip to san marino for example.
re Andy gray, not sure if this is the reason but TS's premier league coverage is sponsored by sky sports his former employers so I wonder if TS are trying not to anoy sky by having Gray associated with their premiership coverage which sky sponsor. its probably nothing to do with that but unless Gray doesn't want to do the commentaries I can't think of any other reason they wouldn't want to use him.

I think this is part of the reason why they don't call upon Andy Gray on their Premier League coverage, combined with Andy's (and Richard Keys') regular weekend live football commitments with Al Jazeera Sports.
Indeed this was reported in Charles Sale's Sports Agenda column in Saturday's Daily Mail:
The talkSPORT Drivetime show, presented by Adrian Durham and Darren Gough, is to be sponsored by Now TV, an internet-based TV streaming service controlled by Sky.
And Sky's sensitivities about Richard Keys and Andy Gray, who left them after a sexism controversy to join talkSPORT, are still such that they do not want the pair name-checked on their sponsored programme.
So it is understood the flagship Keys & Gray show is to be referenced as the station's 'mid-morning' programme.
Regardless of the availability of Andy Gray and the other factors that may decide against his use, I think talkSPORT have a number of other very strong co-commentators who are more than capable of doing justice to secondary live games. Alvin Martin and Ray Houghton are among my favourite co-commentators on either medium and both have plenty of commentary experience during their long tenures with the station. The younger co-commentators they use such as Matt Holland, Ray Parlour and Michael Gray have also made promising starts to their talkSPORT careers and have done well when I have heard them covering live games. So I don't think there's a particular necessity to get Gray involved when there are plenty of capable voices they can call upon.
