Which soap characters past or present do/did you like but it seems everyone else hates them with a passion? I can only really think of ones from EE and Corrie:

    The Moons in EE. It seems the majority of DS have bad things to say of them, but I've always liked them.

    I didn't mind Jody and I like Billy Mitchell. I don't think he's the 'deadwood' people call him at all; the writers just haven't bothered to tap into his potential.

    I liked Danny Moon but everyone seems to hate him.

    Agree with you on both of these.

    Billy is a good guy when it matters. He adores his family, has always been there for Janine and IMO is the best person to help Jay right now.

    Janine I've loved since she was a brat of a child, she may be popular now, but as you say that was not always the case.

    I also like Lola and still believe in Kat.

    Most of the people you said for EE i loved... i really liked Ruby Allen dunno why so many don't, everyone has an opinion of course but.. she was awesome in my opinion. I preferred her to Danielle.

    Dito, i know towards the end of her stint she turned a little moany and a bit snotty but there are/were far nastier characters that are loved and can do no wrong in many people's eyes.

    Billy makes me laugh, and while I don't hate him, he isn't my favourite. He's likeable.

    Janine is my favourite character too.

    How nice a "person" a character is has little if anything to do with how popular they are, for example, Jodie Gold was a much nicer person than say Kat or Janine but the majority on here hated Jodie but they love the other 2. Another example is Gus was a far nicer guy than Sean Slater but we all know who is more popular out of them, another one is in Corrie Ken Barlow was a much nicer person than Mike Baldwin but during their long fued most people always sided with Mike because he was the more interesting character. A characters popularity is down to how complex the character is, how interesting they are, their storylines, and the actors portraying them, how nice a person the character is is very rarley a factor.

    I liked that scene from Becca. But honestly she was a bad bitch. Calling the police on Bradley leading to his death and then throwing his ashes all over Stacey. I'm pretty sure she had some creepy crush/obsession with her too...
